The Berlin-Barcelona Initiative is a European public health initiative I am developing as a passionate amateur triathlete who became an Ironman in 2024 (Altriman ultra-IM), and researcher at the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité. I find great meaning in combining physical challenges with the causes that matter most to me and my loved ones: health, science, and the environment. This journey is a holistic challenge shaped by my experiences that helped me empirically forge myself through life challenges, encounters and opportunities. Raising awareness, understanding, and connecting humans assembles a thriving society. I genuinely believe in the power of role models, which is why I want this initiative to serve as a platform to share the stories of extraordinary individuals I admire.

Impact & Goals

At each stop along the way, events will be organized to raise public awareness and foster dialogue among citizens, scientists, and policymakers. A series of podcasts and a documentary will amplify the voices of experts, athletes, and advocates to ensure a lasting impact from this initiative. This initiative is built on key pillars that I hold dear:

Tour

A 3000 km cycling journey (27,000 m elevation gain) across eight countries in one month.
